It just installed on my last computer just fine without even having Pro Tools 7 already installed. ![]() Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager may help solve the problem. I don't recall getting a key for the upgrade to Pro Tools 8. If your touchpad isn’t working, it may be a result of a missing or out-of-date driver. Please help me on this? Oh, and another thing is that is with Pro Tools 7, my UPGRADE of Pro Tools 8 won't work either because for some reason it's asking me for a key. Went to bed last night while it was installing and sure enough I woke up with it still stuck at the same 50-60% install and I had to force a close on it. I read on a site that sometimes Pro Tools can take up to an hour to install (never had it take that long before) so I decided to just wait to see if it would continue further rather than what I thought was freezing. "This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running. If I try to load Pro Tools after that I get the ![]() Half way through installation it freezes and doesn't install all the way. If this still doesn’t help, uninstall and then reinstall both pro tools and the iLok drivers. Outlook has been known to conflict with the iLok drivers and repeatedly give this error. ![]() I got a new computer last week and I'm having troubles getting my Pro Tools 7, or 8 onto the computer. Download and install the latest drivers from Uninstall Microsoft Outlook.
